Derek Olivier is a licensed Real Estate Broker with more than fifteen years’ experience in the South Florida real estate market. He is the founder and owner of a full-service real estate company with 23 agents based in Coral Springs. He started the company from the ground up and designed turn-key systems to ensure his sales team’s success. He primarily plays an executive role assigning duties and consulting on challenges his team faces. The challenge of starting a company has made him a dynamic thinker and sharpened his leadership abilities.
Before founding his real estate firm, Derek served as a controller for a real estate developer in Coral Gables. He also was the Director of Financial Reporting for a real estate developer in Boca Raton where he budgeted for over $500 million in assets.
Derek holds a bachelor’s of Business Administration with a major in accounting from Stetson University. His accounting experience has provided him with deeper insight into the commercial retail market and how business can effectively work hand-in-hand with cities.
Community service is one of Derek’s passions and he celebrates his birthday every year by volunteering with a different South Florida charity. He believes that we all need to do our part to help when there are so many in need. It is this same desire to help, that has pushed him to run for City Commissioner.
His unique work experience in real estate, accounting and as a business owner has shaped him into an excellent leader with an astute understanding of how to get things done. Derek is professional, dedicated, knowledgeable, and over everything else, he always puts others first.
